Dendritic Quartz

I just returned from a quick but successful trip to the Tucson Gem and Mineral shows….It is always a great opportunity to meet new vendors, discover new materials and energize the creativity! I found a new material to work with: Dendritic Quartz!!

Dendritic quartz is a type of quartz crystal that has unique, tree-like or fern-like patterns known as dendrites. These patterns are created by the presence of other minerals, such a manganese or iron, within the crystal structure. Dendritic quartz is believed to have healing properties and is often used in crystal healing and meditation.
